Environmental Issues sit high on our agenda

We hold ISO 14001 Environmental Management Accreditation. We have undertaken several BREEAM Projects, including Manchester Settlement (link) which achieved a very good rating, and Triangle School (link). We have experience of including cutting edge environmental designs within our projects including a glulam frame and rainwater harvesting at St Mary of the Angels School (link), and solar panels and ground source heating at Trinity Church, Audenshaw (link).

We believe that sustainability begins at home and have introduced a number of schemes that keep the company as a whole mindful of its impact on the environment.

• Our new, energy efficient head office has solar panels to provide hot water, movement detectors that control lighting, energy efficient boilers and high levels of insulation.
• We recycle widely, both on site and at our offices, including paper, glass, cans, plastic etc, and place emphasis on careful measurement and ordering of materials to avoid waste.
• We use company vehicles to minimise journeys and encourage car sharing.
